Digital Twin for Aquaculture

Aquaculture operators face risks from underutilized data. Our solution integrates satellite, model, and in situ data to offer short-term forecasts and alerts, enhancing operational safety. Tailored for large aquaculture operators, it utilizes a digital twin for predictive monitoring, promoting sustainability and industry-wide digitalization.

Solution

Incorporating satellite data, model data and in situ observations have been combined into a solution for operational monitoring that include short-term forecasts and alerts for harmful algae blooms, pollution or other conditions that compromise fish welfare and positive biomass development. The solution will be enhanced by numerical and ML models that aid decision support, with opportunities for combination with Environmental Impact Assessment for CSRD and other automated reporting.

We have integrated temperature data from the aquaculture operators themselves, future development will include ocean conditions like waves as well as maritime traffic along and between locations to be the got to 'weather forecast' as well as predict windows for specific operations or threat of harmful events.

About the dataset

How to access the data

There are several ways you can work with the data, including connecting via API or via Ocean Data Platform workspace.

Access the data directly in an Ocean Data Platform workspace or via API.
