Partnership with The Arctic University of Tromsø

On the 27th of January – the Ocean Data Foundation signed a partnership agreement together with REV Ocean and The Arctic University of Tromsø. The agreement will contribute to collective ocean research, education and innovation. In addition to a cooperation for a new Master’s programme in Ocean Leadership at The Arctic University of Tromsø.

We look forward to cooperating on ocean research at The University of Tromsø and make data better and more available, so that we can find sustainable ocean solutions for research and the industry” – says Bjørn Tore Markussen, CEO of Ocean Data Foundation.

The partnership agreement will provide data from the ecosystems in the Arctic Ocean and other oceans. Which is valuable data that can be presented with the Ocean Data Platform. With advanced machine learning algorithms, data can more easily be analyzed and understood. Furthermore, making the data easier to access for researchers and scientists.

We are excited to be a part of the partnership agreement. Working together we can get a better understanding on how our ocean ecosystems are developing. And what necessary steps we need to make to achieve One Healthy Ocean.
