Elisabeth Brinton and Jeremy Jurgens join the Board of Directors

HUB Ocean has welcomed to its board global sustainability technology pioneer Elisabeth Brinton and WEF's Managing Director Jeremy Jurgens. We are thrilled by their inclusion, confident that their expertise and vision will greatly amplify our efforts in unlocking ocean data.

Elisabeth Brinton is an American business woman and global sustainability technology pioneer, having built 24 impact businesses for both corporate and private investors that commercialized and scaled new solutions across software, renewable energy, hydrogen, carbon reduction, electric mobility, trading, value-added produce, food safety and nature based solutions, including regenerative agriculture. Brinton is the CEO and owner of Serenity Spring Farm, based in Ocala, Florida. Most recently, Brinton built the profitable global Sustainability Business for Microsoft, where she was a corporate officer and member of the senior executive team.

Previously, she developed and scaled Shell’s global New Energies Business, running a $65 Billion P&L. Brinton is an experienced Board Director at all phases of operating life-cycle, from start-ups to large, listed companies that are complex multinational groups, inclusive of different business units and brands.  She is a Truman Scholar and life-long community leader, helping build healthy, inclusive economies that value both people and nature.

Elisabeth Brinton:

“I am thrilled and honored to join the Board. Ocean health is vital to all of our earth systems (natural or economic).  From the quality of air we breathe, to the weather we experience, or to the price we pay for Christmas presents or food we purchase that is shipped across markets, our lives have an ocean nexus whether we know it or not. Therefore, HUB Ocean’s platform that unifies both scientific and commercial/operational data intelligence can be a positive game changer and is certainly needed.”

Jeremy Jurgens:

Data lies at the core of sustainable ocean management, enabling scientists and policymakers to make informed decisions on the use and protection of our finite ocean resources. HUB Ocean’s industry-driven approach to unlocking and transforming this data into critical insights, embodies the multistakeholder approach the World Economic Forum champions to improve the health of our Planet. I am excited to help guide this important work for our collective future.
