C4IR Ocean is now HUB Ocean!

And above you can see our new logo.

Our humble journey started in 2019 when we were founded by the World Economic Forum and the Aker Group. As our foundation has developed, so has our name.

But our mission has always been the same:

To change the fate of the ocean by unleashing the power of data, technology and collaboration.

“Our new name, HUB Ocean, encompasses what we have set out to do; to become the world’s ocean data collaboration hub, where data is shared without boundaries to advance ocean health and wealth, “ said Kimberly Mathisen, CEO of HUB Ocean.

HUB Ocean will provide data-driven insights to allow for restoration, protection and sustainable production to industry, governments and science.

“We are still a proud affiliate of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution global network, set up by the World Economic Forum,” Mathisen continues.

The centres are a part of worldwide effort to harness the power of advanced technology for the good of society.

Planning to launch the Ocean Data Platform this summer

At the heart of HUB Ocean, you find the Ocean Data Platform and the lighthouse projects. The lighthouse projects are designed to accelerate data-driven solutions for producing more sustainable blue food, renewable energy, green transportation, and science-based ocean management.

The Ocean Data Platform is a one-stop shop for data, knocking down silos across sectors and aggregating all forms of data with advanced technology.  HUB Ocean aims to launch the Ocean Data Platform for General Availability this summer.
