Features of the Ocean Data Platform

Cloud-based data access

On the Ocean Data Platform all files are accessed in a cloud-based environment, allowing for instant access and collaboration between distributed teams.

Scalable compute power

The Ocean Data Platform integrates scalable compute with cloud-based access to the necessary data. This allows for the extension of compute power, providing a scalable solution equivalent to a supercomputer.

Unique ocean datasets

HUB Ocean works with data providers to offer a secure place to publish data and make it available for the common good. This mean that you have access to unique data that cannot be found elsewhere.

Collaborative environment

As the ocean research becomes more and more interdisciplinary, The Ocean Data Platform has been designed to facilitate collaboration on the journey from data collection, to analysis, to publishing.

A place to publish your data

HUB Ocean works with data providers to offer a secure place to publish data and make it available for the common good. This mean that you have access to unique data that cannot be found elsewhere.

Continuously updated data

A key feature of the Ocean Data Platform is that we continuously update our data catalog through direct scheduled pipelines to the original source. The same technology can be used for scientific analysis running on the platform.
